Looks
Eyes: Rosemary has deep, emerald eyes that sparkle when she smiles or laughs. You can tell a lot about a person by looking into their eyes, and if you look into Rosemary’s, you would see a very kind and sincere person.
Hair: Rosemary has dirty blonde hair that reaches her mid back.
General Appearance: Rosemary has always been on the petite side, barely reaching 5 foot 2 inches. She has full lips and a nose that she isn't happy with, but has grown to like.
Dressing Style: Rosemary loves to occasionally dress up, but is also fine with wearing comfortable clothing, like jeans and a t-shirt. She is not one of those teenage girls that must wear name brands; she gladly wears vintage and off brand clothing.
General Character Traits
Strengths: Rosemary is an attentive listener, and enjoys hearing what others have to say. She loves to play Quidditch, and has found that she is rather well at the Seeker and Chaser positions.
Weaknesses: Rosemary is often shy and indecisive. She would much rather let someone else’s opinion be heard over her own.
Personality:
Rosemary has a very bubbly personality, and can rarely be found without a smile on her face. She is kind and caring and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Rosemary comes from a rather extensive family, so she knows how to deal with other people, especially those younger than she.
Although she is very friendly, Rosemary can be awful shy at times. It usually takes a few encouraging words to herself before she is able to make conversation with a new person. Rosemary is a good friend to have. She loves to listen when people talk, and tries to help them when they need help.
Personal History:
As said before, Rosemary comes from a rather extensive family. She is the second eldest child in her family and the third eldest amongst all her cousins. Family is everything to her, and she always puts them first. Her older brother, Gavin, graduated from Hogwarts the year Rosemary started, but the two are very close. She has four younger sisters. Camilla is 12, Devonei is 11 and starting her first year at Hogwarts, Crissany is 9, and Alvira is 5. She also has two younger brothers. Jonte is 11, Devonei’s twin, and also in his first year, and Gabriel is 7,. So far, Rosemary and all of her siblings old enough to attend Hogwarts (and also Gavin) have been sorted into Gryffindor, as was their mother.
Janice Hawthorne got her Hogwarts letter the day of her eleventh birthday, as did all witches and wizards. She was excited when she received it, as her older brothers had both been invited to attend Hogwarts, and her parents before them. Throughout her years at Hogwarts, she dated a few wizards in her year, but she never truly fell in love until the summer before her seventh and final year at Hogwarts. Her family was on vacation in northern England, and that is where she met a lad who appeared to be a few years older than her. There was an instant connection between the two, but Janice was afraid to reveal to Walter Waterbury that she was not a normal British teen; she was a witch. But she finally decided that it was best not to keep this secret and she told Walter all about it. At first, he was a little taken aback, but then he realized that it didn’t matter; love prevailed. After Janice graduated from Hogwarts, she and Walter decided to marry, and three years after that, welcomed home their firstborn child, a son, Gavin. They absolutely adored their child, and decided that they wanted more. They tried and tried, but Janice was unable to get pregnant.
Finally, on May 11th, five years after Gavin’s birth, Janice Waterbury gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, much to Walter Waterbury’s delight. Gavin was as excited as a freed house elf when he heard the news of his sister’s birth. He made sure that everyone knew that Rosemary was his baby sister. Since the birth of Rosemary, the Waterbury family has welcomed home six additional bundles of joy.
When Rosemary was around the age of seven, her older brother, Gavin, taught her how to play Quidditch, although they were unable to fly brooms. Instead, they used their mother’s regular brooms, a tomato for the quaffle, and they had one of their parents hide an object to be the “Golden Snitch.” When Rosemary was ten, her mother took her and Gavin to their very first Quidditch game. The Appleby Arrows versus the Wimbourne Wasps. To this day, The Appleby Arrows are the two sibling’s favorite team. Gavin has been trying [and failing] for the past two years to get Rosemary to try out for the Gryffindor team, as he himself used to be a seeker, but Rosemary has yet to decide if she wants to play for her remaining school years.
Now, Walter works at a big law firm in London, where he is busy with the top cliental, and tends to work long hours. Janice works as a Healer Assistant at St. Mungo’s, but is thinking about a career change soon. Mr. and Mrs. Waterbury did not like the idea of raising their children in a big city, so the family is located on the outskirts of London, away from all the hustle-and-bustle, and the parents commute to work.
Strong Area of Magic:Charms and Transfiguration.
Weak Area of Magic: Rosemary is not the worst at Potions, but it is a class that she needs the most help in, and one that she dreads going to.
RP Sample:
[This sample is from my site, and written as Camilla, Rosemary’s younger sister.]
Camilla Waterbury glanced around the not so crowded pub as she made her way to the counter.
"One butterbeer, please. Thank you." She ordered and paid, then headed to a table close to the back. Camilla sighed as she sat down and opened her butterbeer. She didn't really have many friends; it was hard for her to make them, what with how straight forward she appeared.
I'm not going to pretend to like someone, just so I don't hurt their feelings. She thought to herself as she scanned the few faces in the room. Where is Rose? She's never late! Camilla was so much different from her older sister, Rosemary, who always had nice things to say and tons of friends.
"I'll just sit here and wait..." She said to herself, taking another swing of butterbeer. She didn't care who came, whether it be her sister or the Giant Squid, she was just tired of being alone...
Thank You Rosemary.
