Post by Brynadette Amélie Athyn on Jan 13, 2010 21:15:55 GMT -5
First Name: Brynadette
Last Name: Athyn
Goes by: Bryn // Bree
Heritage: Pure-Blood
Year: 5th
First Choice For House: Slytherin
Second Choice For House: Ravenclaw
Looks
Eyes: Gray-Blue
Hair: Blond-White
General Appearance: Bryn stands at a mere 5 feet, and weighs only just over 100 pounds. She has very pale white skin, which she touches up with just the slightest makeup. Bryn's hair is long and straight, and falls to just above her rear. Shes relatively thin as well, and resembles her mother quite a bit.
Dressing Style: Bryn tends to wear clothing that showcases her sense of style. She loves bright colors, funky prints, and the black and white color scheme. Whenever she wants to just relax and be comfortable, she'll find herself a comfortable shirt, and a pair of yoga pants.
General Character Traits
Strengths: She's quite the intelligent and smart young lady; she's become quite advanced with her wand.
Weaknesses: She can be absolutely full of herself, and would much rather talk about things she's done than sit and listen to another person's life story; she's relatively narcissistic; she can't ride a broom to save her life.
Personality: Bryn has always been an only child, and as such got everything she wanted handed to her on a silver platter - it didn't help the situation when her parents could actually provide her with whatever she wanted, for they had done fairly well for themselves in life. She was always a quick study (taking after her father) and took pride in what she knew.
Its not to say that she isn't a nice person; she just takes some getting used to. Someone has to spark her interest by being out of the ordinary in order for her to want to talk to them - not an odd sort of 'out of the ordinary', but... different. She hasn't ever been able to explain completely what draws her to a person. Its just the difference that she's drawn to.
Personal History:
Bryn was born to Dinah and Marcus Athyn on the 1st of March. Her parents had been former Hogwarts students - her father had been a Ravenclaw, and her mother a Slytherin. Her parents expected her to go to Hogwarts as well, as she was their only child.
She grew up a relatively spoiled life, and grew to love being the center of attention. Upon recieving her letter of acceptance into Hogwarts, she got even more attention.
In her first year at Hogwarts, her friends tried to coax her into joining the quittich team. She got tired of their pestering, so she tried out riding the brooms - she nearly killed herself in the process. The blond hasn't gotten on a broom since.
All four years leading up to her current year were spent making friends, studying, and trying to keep all eyes on herself. She has decided that this year will be more focused on studying, as she wants to be the one to come out on the top of the academic dogpile, and she knows that she's got competition.
Strong Area of Magic: Arithmancy, History of Magic, Charms, Transfiguration
Weak Area of Magic: Care of Magical Creatures, Flying, Herbology
RP Sample:
Bryn was walking alongside her mother and father on platform 9 and 3/4. Her trunks were in their hands, and a smile was on their faces. But not hers.
She was searching the platform for people she knew enough to talk to. The blond had yet to find any, as there were hardly any people on the platform anyway.
"Brynadette. Enjoy your year at school. Make sure to write to us often." The voice of her father pulled her away from her search for familiar faces. It was then that she realized she was expected to board the train.
She stole a glance behind her to the train car, before looking forward to her parents who were handing her trunks off to a nearby porter. Her mother gave her a kiss on the head, and her father gave her a farewell hug; she boarded the train with a slight wave of her hand after that.
This year was bound to be an interesting one, and she couldn't wait to get back to the castle. The girl's blank face now held a small smile as she moved a couple of compartments down. Finding an empty compartment, for there weren't many people on the train yet, she sat down, closing the door behind her.
Smoothing out her fur lined coat, she leaned back in her seat with a sigh. Her eyes locked onto the ceiling of the train car.
Yes, this year was bound to be an interesting one...
